ACNE VULGARISE
Acne vulgarise is a skin condition which affects the skin pores or pilosebaceous the glands unit. This unit consists of a hair follicle and a sebaceous or oil producing gland which are connected by a canal through which the hair shaft passes to the skin’s surface. Acne vulgarise affects all age groups from new born to adolescence right up to the fifth decade of life.
CHARACTERISTICS OF ACNE
Acne begins to develop with the increase in hormone production, which over stimulates the sebaceous gland.
All the above may be present characteristics on the face at the same time which varies from person to person. Just like some people may have mild acne, while other have a more severe type of acne lesions such as; nodules and deep painful cysts which vary in size and may appear as boils.
